Only your friends or people you know can give you nicknames. They know your personality better than strangers on a website. Not every nickname has something to do with what your name is or the sports team you like; mostly quirky personality traits or a funny incident. Like this time when blue ink spilled on my classmate's white jeans, and everyone started calling him Smurf.

uuuhh... i got my nicknames from other people on my team...
i'm called hollywood because one day i showed up to school in a suit and a pair of oakleys.... then i got a new nickname, "flip" due to being nailed in the shins, making me do a front flip, and landing on my feet and got 6 more yards.... that hurt like a bish but hey.. got me a nickname and allows me to use "Game Over" by Lil Flip when i'm going through the run-through..
Nicknames are earned, not just handed out.

umm you usually earn your nickname by you doing something, or by resemblance of somtething
like in basketball..rafer alston earned the name skipp to my lou bc he mocked people by skipping down to the court-toward the baskets....
