It depends how many candidates there are to interview. If you haven't heard within a week, you might send a short letter thanking the manager for the interview, and letting them know you are still very interested. If they're polite, they'll call back to let you know. If you don't hear within 2-3 weeks though, I'd say they proabably selected another applicant. Good Luck!

Depends on the company. Some call within a day or two of getting a resume.
Other companies use a apply by date. They hold onto resumes through that date, then stop accepting them. After that they will call the top contenders in for an interview. That can be a month to a 6 week process in that case.

as a manager, when i hire, there are steps, first the ad, second receiving the apps, that can take a week or two. Then app. evaluation. Then over the phone interview. Last, sit down interview.
So the process may take a couple weeks.

As with any interview you should ALWAYS send a follow up letter. This ensures that the manager/interviewer will remember you. As for your resume, that's a different story. But first and foremost, take action. Don't wait on them to call you. Be persistent, but not annoying. Your extra effort in trying to get the job will be a major plus in their decision to hire you.

Depends on the manager; some are prompt and call within a week. Others may file your resume because it doesn't match an immediate need, but then you get a call weeks or even months later. There's no hard and fast rule.
