to clarify - I'm not saying that supremicists want to 'be' the race they claim to be superior to - more that they are threatened by it..
take the American white - black example..
anecdotally, they say black men are better endowed - is it a case of penis envy?
is there a nagging fear that despite being dealt a fairly lousey hand - African Americans have managed to excel in sports, entertainment, business and politics in a very short amount of time (50 years or so)

I believe the words you use here is a "threat to their masculinity.." referring to homophobes, so a race supremacist could be overcompensating for a threat to their "racial dominance".
It makes sense to me.

That sounds like a load of psychobable to me. Anyone who hates anyone else is simply hateful. They all have there own reasons, but race supremicists are mostly ignorant of who other people really are.

I see where you're going, but I tend to disagree a bit. I think white sumpremist just hate us because we are different. I don't think there's a desire to be us, they have never said so. Neither have their actions reflected such. They think they are a superior race. I say pray for them!
