Yes, use a Workgroup. Have you run the Network Wizard in the Control panel?

You first opt to setup the instantaneous connection... for this deploy the router (connect each of the connections) and then it ought to start up off with a default ssid (community call) use this community call or rename it and connect with the community on your workstation and the workstation... then both the workstation and the workstation should be assigned with an IP numbers, use that ip volume to get admission to information... you'll opt to share a folder first.. with assistance from default document and printer sharing is disabled on living house windows.. to enable it create a folder on between the pcs and proper click on the folder and click on residences.. goto sharing and click on share this folder.. if it says about all that risk and stuff comply with it... after the folder is shared you should verify a touch hand below the folder icon... then flow to the othe workstation and click on start up - run and kind in ip volume the position ip volume is the pcs ip volume the position the folder is shared.... that ought to favor to open up the folder yet when it doesnt then you definitely could turn off the firewalls and provides you it a attempt... to reveal off the firewalls proper click on the community connections icon and click on change firewall settings ans turn off from the window.... enable me be conscious of the way it went.... each of the great....

make sure all computers are on the same network
and that file sharing is on ( share the documents folder or the drive )
and you might have to map te folder or drive depending if you have different levels of window ( like windows 2000 or XP )
