I mean there are times when nobody shares your feelings, thoughts, ideas and beliefs. What do you do then? Personally I feel really sad and lonely. It hurts when people can't understand the way I feel and think.

I'm sorry that it seems to trouble you so much that people do not understand you. But I think that you need to understand that everyone has a difference when it comes to opinions. OK sometimes you may say something and others will agree with you, but on several occasions people may not share your view. But this is a good thing! By having a different opinion shows that you are an individual, and have independent thoughts and feelings. Even if people don't necessarily agree with you, I'm sure that they at least respect that you have an issue that you wish to discuss.

Also I think that its important to understand that when someone does have a different point of view that you are able to see the middle ground. That you understand where they are coming from, whether you agree with them or not. I think that way you can respect and at least share some sort of rapport with other individuals.

Me too. I don't get that way very often, usually I consider myself strong and able to fight the feelings of loneliness and depression. I know how to, and it is rather easy, but at times a soft spot opens up, and I just seem to stop caring. What difference does it make if all the advice you are trying to give to people is overlooked and not taken seriously. And why is it that every time I think I've found someone who seems to have the same outlook on life as me, it turns out they aren't interested in anything more than an answer to their problem, and then move on. Life can sure suck sometimes. It can definitely make you feel a little unloved. Sorry I'm not of any help at the moment. I guess I'm in the same spot you are right now. The sad thing is, I know the answer, sometimes I just lack the energy to take my own advice. Don't give up, though. These moments never last forever.

Talk to people - think about why they don't seem to understand you. It may be that some of them do share similar beliefs but it could be that you have expressed yourself in a way that causes problems for understanding. Rather than feeling sad and lonely, try to explore what's going on, possibly by attempting to look at things from the perspective(s) of other people.
You could go to a counsellor or personal coach to get help.

Unfortunately that's what makes you uniquely you. Of course it hurts, but don't let that worry you too much. Do you understand others who are in the same position as you. It's a pity you feel sad and lonely, perhaps you need a change and something positive to look forward to. You know there are lots of voluntarily organisations that you could contact that will listen to you and perhaps offer you the advice that you need. Smile a little even though at times it might be hard..who knows you might even get a smile back.

So you feel sad and lonely, misunderstood, isolated and unloved? There are a select few who actually respect what you feel and think. Find these people. In return, respect what these people feel and think. Are your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and beliefs really so unusual? Probably not. But someone is trying to make you think they are. No! You are you and they are they, and everyone is entitled to their own feelings, thoughts, ideas, and beliefs. Relationships can be loving even when people do not agree on everything. Own your self and allow others to own their self. Break free of those who are telling you to disown your self!! Resist!! You make each day special by just being you!! You are lovable just as you are.

I bet you are an adolescent. No offense meant but this is a common feeling at that stage of life. I suggest that the best way to find people who share your feelings, thoughts, ideas, and beliefs is to go looking in all the right places. Love music? Take guitar lessons, join the high school band, volunteer to play piano at the senior center. Love art? The museum, art lessons, street fairs. The more you are out there doing what you like, the more you are going to find like-minded people. Also, the less time to sit around and mope about being lonely. One more thing, if you are an adolescent, you seem bright and thoughtful. I bet you are going or could go to college. Compared to high school, college has a wealth of people who are unique. So if this is your situation, wait it out. If you feel like hurting yourself, tell someone you trust who is responsible. If you don't get over feeling down, see your doctor. Good luck. It's usually temporary and life is wonderful!

When no body seems to understand you,the problem may be with you.You may not have enough skills for effective communication. You can attend some programme on effective communication,It is necessary to have proper spoken and written communication.Second possiblity is that your thoughts may not be correct. You have to analyse the reason and if needed seek help of a psychologist.Sitting sad is not the solution, try to overcome or ignore others.

I'm sorry for your sad feelings. But, even if its sounds simple, the only important thing is that you could understand yourself. Be you, it's only you need to be happy. Don't depend of nobodies opinion.
