Some boy spit in my face today in my class and one of my teachers saw it.He says he didnt when this teacher saw this.My principle is gone to Washington D.C. with the 10th-11th graders, and my school had the "Dean of students" take over as the prinicple. Now,He was busy today, and couldent see me and this boy. When my principle gets back monday,What would be my options for this?I dont really think court would be an option but what would be?

The teacher did do something from my knowledge. When I was leaving the office,I heard this teacher say she should call his parents. And the kicker about this one is he said he hated me,and I was like I personally do not care.

At my school this is a serious infraction. You should write down exactly what happened, who said what, and take it with you to your discipline principal. Then let your discipline principal handle the problem. You did the right thing by not responding to his instigating action. Your discipline principal should assign punishment to this spitter person, and hopefully try to work out the situation between you and this person so that you both can at least attend school in peace. Good luck!

Spitting at someone is a physical assault. If this boy has done this before and nothing has happened, then he knows he can get away with it. Time to have the law get involved. Have him arrested. (You can drop the charges later.)

For the present though, if you want to push it, insist on suspension for assault. Insist on anger management classes as a condition for re enrollment into the school. Insist on a change of classes for him when he returns. If you want to get nasty about it, tell them you want him tested for AIDS (but that is highly unlikely).

I hope you have a good support network, because many of your peers will turn on you, especially if this student is popular or a jock. With that warning in mind, you have a right to feel safe in your own school. If this behavior is and has been tolerated by the administration, then you have a obligation to change your school for the better when the opportunity arises.

Good luck to you. I hope your principal does the right thing.

Your options would be to talk to the principle and, if possible, file a "personal attack" complaint. It would go in his records
for future indiscretions. Unfortunately, there isnt really anything else that you can do and it sucks. That is so gross
and it makes one feel very degraded. Its happened to me before, but all I could do was stay away from that person, realize that person has SERIOUS issues, and realize that I am better than that person so I am not going to lower myself to their level by doing the same thing back.

Sorry about what happened to you.

Talk to your parents, see the principle Monday (take parents if you want and/or can) request that the teacher that saw this happen be there. (Did the teacher do anything about it? and if not, WHY not!). I would insist that something be done, that is a form of assault and should not be tolerated. Good Luck!

Report him for harrassment. He'll be suspended for about a week.
