guess what, im in middle school and ill tell you this. the "popular" kids (we call them preps in our grade) are just popular in their on mind. then they act popular, start bossing people around, and, there you go, there are the preps. dont feel pressure to be popular. just find some good friends and stick with them. the chances are, they wont like the popular group also. popular doesnt mean anything...those girls are just popular in their minds. as for the drama, my locker is right by the preps locker (i dont know how they got together) and i can hear (omg, she broke up with him? wow. omg.) its the stupidest thing i ever heard, and it bores me to death. just ignore it. they need something to do, so they talk about other people and all this stupid stuff. i dont quite know what your talking about when you say drama...but oh well. good luck!

The best way to be popular is to be yourself.
Concentrate on your own business and leave the drama to those who like drama.
If you are nice to others, smart in class, polite, and courtesous, what is not to like? There will always be people in your sphere that want to gossip, are rude, selfish, and thoughtless but that doesn't mean you have to be. Chose to be different than those around you. A smiling face, a kind word, a helpful hand, and intelligence will take you further than anything else. And if all this advice doesn't work....
just try to remember school only lasts so long, what you make out of yourself will last a lifetime. :-)

The best thing to do is to realize that middle school drama is for retards. Just have fun with your friends and get good grades, you will be happier. Always remember that popularity is for those who are willing to sell their souls so that lots of kids think they are cool. Integrity is better than popularity. If you are becoming unpopular, find friends who don't give a crap about that and stick by them.

There really is no best answer to the drama thing, other than: KNOW THAT YOU'RE NOT ALONE. Everybody struggles with middle school drama. Currently, I am considering dating my friend's ex-boyfriend; and my other friend is urging friend number 3 to date friend number 4. Trust me...there's no way to evade the whole drama thing.
And as for popularity, BE YOURSELF.
I hope that helps, and good luck! I feel your pain!

Well, I don't know about the popularity thing, I myself don't like the idea of becoming popular. (I like the good non-popular friends I have.) If you are determined to become popular, remember that once you are you will have people that admire you, and then others, who, like me, look upon people that think too highly of themselves as, not to be rude, but, let's just say, I think of popular people as stuck-up.
I'm no good with drama, but the best way to deal with it is to not think about it; it's middle school, try and enjoy it. And when love strikes, embrace it, but don't get obsessed. (Like I usually do, LOL.)

Don't buy into the drama, its peoples way of getting attention. Listen but don't sympathisize or take sides. Don't worry about popular, you are learning to be yourself. Its better to be popular with a small group of people who like you for who you are than to be popular with a lot of people who like you for what you are faking.
