Absolutely agree. Whenever they get eliminated, all is right with the world.

final nighttime on activities midsection Steve Philips grow to be asked no count number if or no longer he believed the Cubs have been the only right group in baseball. He stated they're enjoying the only right baseball, have an extremely stable group, yet could nevertheless checklist a pair of different golf equipment previous to them as being the only right. i'm a die problematical Cubs fan to the top, yet will ought to trust what he stated. i think of the Cubs have between the main nicely rounded golf equipment in baseball. they have an excellent lineup, dazzling bullpen and an above hassle-loose rotation. Will the Cubs win all of it this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days? purely time will tell. the stable situation is you do no longer ought to be the only right group in baseball to win the WS. look at 2006. i fairly have self assurance the Cardinals weren't the only right group in baseball, yet they performed the only right whilst it mattered maximum. same is going for 2003 whilst the Marlins crowned the Yankees. The Cubs have had a somewhat person-friendly time table for this reason some distance. optimistically the momentum and self assurance they have outfitted will proceed to hold them. they're going to choose it come September whilst they play sixteen out of 25 video games on the line inclusive of seven right now to end the season.

I don't recall people whining about the Yankees when they spent money and lost. Now that they have been successful these past 12 years people have done nothing but whine like babies about their payroll.
So no I don't agree. And neither does the networks, retailers and various other businesses that a ton of money every time the Yankees win a world series.
They are a marketable icon and baseball is very lucky to have their revenue.
How much money does your team bring to baseball?

Absolutely, and every year they fail is another sign, that it doesn't matter how much money you put into a team you can't buy a championship, unless you foster homegrown talent. This is important to me because there are so many small market teams out there. If the Yanks were able to buy the WS every year, me and probably millions of fans would not watch the sport. So it is imperative to the best interests of Major League Baseball as we know it that no single team is able to buy the championship.

No, it's not a good year when they don't win. I'm a Yankee fan. If you are taking the time to ask a question like this, then you need to get a life and quickly. It could be worse, you know, the Yankees could be the A's who haven't won since 1989.

I think its GREAT! The best thing to happen to a team that tries to buy a championship. They have all-stars at every position and money out the a@$ and still can't win it all! I think the best thing that can happen is them NOT even making the playoffs. Maybe than they will rethink their philosophy! The sad thing is I am a Cubs fan and they seem to be trying the same philosophy. I hope they hurry and sell team and get owners in there that are ready to make a real push!
Just my opinion

Every baseball season is a great season no matter who wins the series, because I just love the game of baseball. I really don't care who wins the series until my team, the Royals, get back to October baseball.

No. I don't agree.
Just because they put more money into their team than others do...that makes them a less worthwhile contender?
Money doesn't denote a World Series win. Look at Boston...they are the second highest paid, Mets are the third highest paid.
They all pay luxury taxes which provide free money to the small market teams (i.e. KC, Twins) to balance this out.
Besides, talent is talent. Look at Jeter. He's always wanted to play for the Yankees. He "wouldn't think of playing for another team."
The A's had Barry Zito. Huge talent...and they let him go.

I'm not a yankee fan, but I really hate it when people cry about thier payroll. They cant help it, they earn the money they spend. When was the last time your team "earned" anything???
If my team had Georgie's money I would hope he'd put some of it back into the team.
Yeah, it is sometimes not fair..but you know what?

i Disagree because no one wants to see any team suffer especially the yankees. because the yankees pretty muchmade baseballl famous because everyone starts of by haring derek Jeters name and how the yankees won 26 world series. so since so many yankee fans are watching their team and believing everytime they lose the fans lose more faith and Stop watching mlb so MLB loses alot of fans and money which isnt good plus the steroids give fans another reason to stop watching
