What would you do if the government reinstated the draft?

Move to Mexico with my 10-year old son. I have already planned for this - I am buying a condo down there and if they reinstitute the draft, they MAY NOT have my son!
I may even start a residence for other American ex-patriots in the same situation - I already have two friends who have agreed with me on this one.

I'm too old to help with this one, since we had a draft when I was young in the Vietnam era. I do think some people would flee to Canada like they did in Vietnam. Others would serve reluctantly, which is not a good thing. It would be very difficult for the American people to accept the draft again after about 30 years without it. I think there would be a huge public outcry and outrage.

I would sign up before I was drafted--that way I could choose the service I wanted.

Continue to be supportive of our troops. And try to demand that Canada be included in the draft. If they were ever attacked, the US would back them because they wouldn't be able to defend themselves. They should be expected to help the cause.

Take a deep breath, wish we weren't at war, and then as someone said prepare to serve if called upon.
As a nurse of umm....."over acceptable age for volunteering" (Read: I'm gettin to dang old to be wanted anymore) I would gladly serve the soldiers of my country if I was needed.
