Even after all of this, Jack's friends still did not understand, especially Will, who was quite jealous that the jar of dirt had won Jack's affections (something Will so desperately wanted - i mean check out Will's face during the credits, pretty much says it all). Will confronted Jack, and Jack calmly explained his love for the jar of dirt, but alas, in that moment, Jack lost his hold on the jar of dirt and his world was shattered forever. In the aftermath of this terrible tragedy, Jack held a candlelight vigil for his lost love in the same place in which they had first met. Here Jack is plagued by memories of the jar of dirt, it being only a slight comfort that so many people came to pay their respects to the jar of dirt, even Jack's friends, who are still a bit confused by Jack's emotions but are willing to show their friend the support he needs in his time of grief. In the end, Jack falls back on his fondness of rum as he mourns the love he knows he will never be able to replace...
