Sure. I act differently with people I work with, people I'm casual friends with, people I need something from and my real friends & family. That's life. Having your heart out on the sleeve and being honest with every stranger will not get you far. Whatever gets you through the day.
Just don't forget who you really are inside and what matters to the real you.

Some times when I can't be myself, or say what I want because of who I'm with (like at work with the director and I'm just a part timer who doesn't have any clue when it comes to politics).

Yeah, sometimes. But I hate the feeling so I'm trying to be more of "me" now. I don't want to share someone's else's identity or conform to something just because if I don't so-so won't like me or whatnot. <3

Nope, closest to that is I will act a bit more courteous to someone I just met than one of my long time friends but that's pretty standard.

Yes at work when I have to pretend interest in immoral,jealous people all night so I can earn a paycheck for my daughter.

Yes sometimes is mandatory...because of the people we interact every day are not always so honest so we do as they do.. be fake.
