That's a really difficult one. I suppose it would have to go to a charity like War on Want or Oxfam who would then have to have people there ensuring it really went where it was supposed to.

Not a single penny should go to Zimbabwe the situation within the country is a direct result of their governments policy. If within Britain or any other so called super power/G4 or G8 a dictatorship resulted in the catastrophic decline that is evident within Zimbabwe happened how much would they be giving us? there is a consistant inability to deal with the poverty and corruption within Africa, so until there is stability and a stop to tribal, ethnic and political cleansing no money should go to these countries, as sad as it may seem. The problems are brought about by the inability of ethnic and cultural groups to live together and for those in power to take it upon themselves to refuse the rights of a democratic majority to rule. Tyranny in any form must not take over, is'nt that what wars were fought for?

Zero. It is well known that foreign aid has no measureable benefits in eliminating poverty or stimulating economic growth.

For an easy-to-read book, see William Easterly's "The Elusive Quest for Growth". It's a blunt, but depressing, look at the effects of foreign aid over the past 50 years.
