The deatils of HOW it got wrecked make a big difference. If it was an accident with another car you need to determine if a police report is required and your insurance agent contacted.

I would suggest you call your MOM and tell her now.

You dont mention your Dad so I assume hes not around.

If its just some tiny dent from hitting a tree or something thats a bit different.

I would do NOTHING until you call your mom.

Get a police report and contact the insurance company after you tell your mom. She'll be mad at first, then she'll realize that you did the mature thing and called the police and get a report. If you don't get a police report, or if the police were involved, that is a good thing - without that, her insurance company might giver her a ton of crap for not having you a listed driver on the insurance policy.

In the end it's just a car, and you are ok. I don't know your mom at all obviously, but in the end, if you had to look back at it...your better of doing the right thing, which is never the easy thing.

Good luck bud, i've been there before. P.s. - your grounded.

You better fess up so your mom can get her car fixed. She is gonna find out, she is probably going to be mad, how mad probably depends on whether or not you were given permission to drive the car and what you were doiing in the car when you had the accident. Let her contact the insurance company and soon if there was another car involved. She will be mad but she wil probably respect you more if you do the adult responsible thing and just fess up. Apologize and admit you were wrong. You probably better clean the house and anything else that your mom has been after you to do. Also it would probably be best if you kissed up until you moved out, pucker up.

Hope you're mechanically inclined. You had better call the place where she got the car and have it towed there for repair.
Then, be a real responsible person and call your mother so, she can call the insurance company and make arrangements. Was it a person to person accident or a personal accident ? Were the police involved? I'm glad I'm not in your shoes.

Yeah, so what's your question?

Get an estimate on the work to be done, and offer to get a part-time job to pay off the damage (or at least part of it). And just be honest about what happened. I hope the car isn't totaled. More importantly, I hope YOU'RE ok from the wreck. No injuries?

If your moms insurance is more than basic liability, it might cover damages to her car by you because you are considered a 3rd party, (even though you are her son). If you are on her insurance plan, you may be out of luck. If not, find out if her insurance inlcudes "uninsured motorist protection". If you are uninsured, they should have to pay her to fix the car. Report the accident. You have limited time to report accident.

I suggest you tell her the truth, whether it was an accident or not. Sooner or later, she will find out, but if you call her and tell her what happened now, the consiquences might not be as great as if you had put it off or tried to hide the truth.

You cannot make decisions for your mother's vehicle. It needs to be impounded until your parents can be contacted.

As a mother myself I would first want to know my children were okay. Who is looking after you at the moment ?

Next I would not want my car touched repaired or otherwise altered and yes one is correct to state the police must be contacted in this case.

Two issues, your safety, and the ownership jurisdiction of the car. How you would fix the vehicle may be different to what your parents would do.

Unless you've got some money stashed away to fix it, you are in some deep crap my friend. You'll have to face the music. As my mom always said You made your bed now you have to lie in it.

If you hit another vehicle, you better turn yourself in. It is a new car and I am sure it is worth some money. You will be responsable for this. Cars are not toys.
