I'm writing a book and I'm almost done. I've also written some short stories I would like to get published. I know most of the process and I have "Writer's Market"

What I really want to know is, if you're a writer, how did YOU get noticed and published?

I'm still working on getting my novels published but I've had several short stories published and some non-fiction articles. The stories were more recent and were published by an ePublisher, which publishes not only short stories but full-length novels, in print and available online. I believe this small ePublisher made it possible for me to get my foot in the door and earn some fiction credentials which I hope will establish a base for my fiction career. Best wishes for your own career!

suck up to a publisher or nail some trendy-new pop culture themed idea, make a quick mil then never be heard of again.

Hint: read the bes seller list then just regurgitate whatever you think is selling the most.

Get an agent...they know how to sell your work. That is the best route.

It was a poem - I was about 16 and it was for FREE.
