The six sixes scored vt Gibbs against Netherland is a world record in International Cricket, as no batsman has ever scored 6 sixes either in test match or one day match. It was wonderful batting display by him.

It´s a record because it´s the first time it has been done in an international match (it has been done twice before but only in first class cricket).
Many are down playing the feat (jealousy) as they feel holland are a weak side.
However "weak" sides have always been around, and Gibbs is nontheless still the first to achieve it!

Sober was the first to do it in a county match and some one else has done it two. The Netherlands are not a strong cricket size, so I said it equal to doing it in a county or I.M.G match
Belinda Clack the former Australian women captain score 200 one year against them. She didn't rage about it because they are a weak side. I don't know if you can count it she said as a great inns

no!! no body ever plaid six sixes in an over before in an ODI match. the previous record was held by jayasuriya and afridi... i think it was 30 runs in an over.
so technically he has broken the previous highest runs in an over by hitting 6 sixes in today's match.
