Of course they are. Big money is to be made in the business of war. I think most Americans would be shocked to find out just how much the prospect of becoming even more wealthy played into the decision to occupy Iraq.
A prolonged war is exactly what they needed to keep the money flowing. Bush probably likes the fact that there is so much resistance in Iraq. It means more money from the military industrial complex.
