I stayed at the "Comfort Inn" which is located in the World Trade Centre in Stockholm. It was a very convienant location - walk almost anywhere. To the best of my recollection I paid about 1,898 SEK which was about $228.60 for 5 days back in 2000. (That was about $45 a night - and it was actually less expensive than hostels and I had my own room with bathroom) Sorry I don't have anything more recent. The rooms were so tiny it was laughable. I literally had to call the front desk to ask where the bathroom in my hotel room was! That is because the bathroom door blended in with the wood panels on the wall. It turns out it was next to the desk in my room - but I left the door open - so I could find it again. I felt so stupid - I never saw anything like that before. The hotel - It was pretty cool. It reminded me if the "Star Trek Enterprise" was a hotel renting out rooms - this is what they would look like. It was a very modern, sleek, chic hotel. I'm sure it still is - it's only been 7 years. It had satellite TV because the only shows I could find were our silly SitComs from back home - in English. I was so looking forward to seeing "Seinfeld" and "South Park" in Swedish. Had to watch it in English instead. Oh well!

Happy travels!

Its rather hard to find something cheap here in Stockholm.U can perhaps get pension houses or hostels coz if its cheap, its prolly away from the Stockholm Centrum.I havent actually stayed in any of the hostels ( since i have a place of my own here ) lol but i had friends visiting and best place to be is actually book a hotel wer "Gamla Stan" is.There is wer everything is.If u book a hotel/hostel there, everything wud be in walking distance.U can check the links below for some ideas.Links gives u an ideas of what to do & see when ure here. Also, one of my fav sites to book a hotel when i travel for work around the world.Sometimes u can get "budget" prices for usually pricey hotels.I suggest u give hotelclub a go in the "last minute deals".
Dont forget to visit "The Absolut Ice bar" at the Nordic Sea Hotel.Have fun & Good Luck!
