Newt man of moral and family values. Has an affair during the time of Clinton impeachment but that is excused by the prophet of the GOP Jerry Falwell.

Back in 90's when the story of Susan Smith broke the woman who killed here children in a drowning. Well Newt went before the TV cameras and media to blame her actions on the liberal media and social ills of the 90's What hypocrite Newt would make for president.

Instead of answering the question I need to respond to the hurricane answer. Don't know if Newt said what you quote but here are the facts. People as far away as California had news 2-3 days prior about the expected hurricane in NO and were shown pictures of people leaving NO. so don't tell me there was no warning because that makes us all look stupid. Plus using a tragedy for political gain is low even for most Dems.

oh absolutely not. in case you need further proof that Newt Gingrich is a fool, read this quote from the 2007 CPAC:

"How can you have the mess we have in New Orleans, and not have had deep investigations of the federal government, the state government, the city government, and the failure of citizenship in the Ninth Ward, where 22,000 people were so uneducated and so unprepared, they literally couldn't get out of the way of a hurricane."

The worst part is, this isn't the first time he's blamed the citizens of New Orleans for being too uneducated to get out of the way of a hurricane. I had friends down in New Orleans when Katrina hit as I'm sure many of us did. During hurricane season they were frequently evacuated for false alarms during the time leading up to Katrina. Granted the government warned that this one was going to be the big one, but my close friend, who was educated by the US Naval Academy by the way, didn't even trust the warnings and found it an inconvenience to evacuate for what as far as they knew could have been another false alarm and huge expenditure. Evacuations are costly and government officials don't have the reputation of being truthful, so how dare Gingrich place any blame on the VICTIMS??
Yes people all over the country knew about the evacuations, but we weren't in the thick of it, so how can you be so assanine as to think you understand it?

1. He isn't running.

2. If he runs, I would consider where he stands on issues that I feel are important to America and try to understand what he would really try to do to lead America toward resolving those issues. (Presidents don't have the power people think they have, and I think Gingrich knows that, so you won't hear a bunch of empty promises from him)

All answers regarding his supposed moral issues. Hate to say it but you sound like liberals and you loved Clinton who had huge moral issues (Lot's of Presidents have had moral issues, they were just able to keep them hidden).

Don't you think that is a double standard?

Not trying to be confrontational here, but you gotta admit it sure looks like a double standard.

There is a good chance I would vote for him.

But I refer you back to number one above.

I wouldn't vote for him for dogcatcher because Newt Gingrich, the adulterous moralist and demagogic hit man who led the vaunted Republican Revolution of 1994, is largely responsible for the GOP's debased state, along with evangelical holy warriors like Pat Robertson, Ralph Reed and James Dobson. In a reprise of Nixon's "Southern strategy," which used racist appeals to white Southerners to devastating political effect, Gingrich and the people from the demonic branch of the evangelicals fired up the so-called "values" or "social issues "conservatives by ranting about guns, God and gays. I believe this was the beginning of the horrible polarization our country is experiencing today.

Nope. Nor would I vote for the creep, Sam Brownback either - should Brownback declare himself a candidate. These are the sort of people who'd be rushing us to Armageddon!

Note: Have not forgotten how Bush and his supporters and henchmen used Jesus' Name to get him votes? And Nush has shown a huge record of acts that seem to defy Jesus' teachings of parables. Gotta beware of those hypocrites who use the Name of God in vain to deceive voters!
