they think that magically charities will be able to solve all the problems, even though charities still can't even handle most situations even with welfare now...
and if you want to leave it up to states... are you in favor of higher state taxes to cover these things?
they also may be in favor of a government cake factory, that gives cake away for free... just so they can say "let them eat cake"....

You don't understand, they want a very small government. No social security, no medicare, no welfare, no student loans, no government intervention in business, no worker rights. Taxes should only be levied for the defense of the nation. The states can do the rest.
