It will remain as is because most Americans live a lie! Most are in debt out the tail .... lying to themselves about a lifestyle that is supposedly the American dream. It will remain until the country makes real amends for mass murder and slavery. The attitudes and ways are attributed to the tone that was set. The chickens are coming home to roost! We accepted a lie anyway. Did we ever practice real democracy? I think not!!! When 1 percent has the wealth. When the Natives were all but slaughtered and the blacks were kidnapped raped and murdered! And the remaining were enslaved. Then descriminated against. What good comes from what was set by evil?

These hearings will hardly be a dead end. As long as Bush and his cronies are having to answer for their crimes, I am fine with it. As for meaningless resolutions, the Senate proposed binding legislation and it was voted down by Republicans in the Senate....Will love to see how you guys explain going against the will of the American people.

I guess as long as they are bashing President Bush, Liberals and the media are entertained. I don't know, but if this is all congress is going to do, I say they need a cut in pay.

Apparently, for years... at least based on what Congress did between 2004 and 2006.
The current Congress has been in power for just over two months, during which time they have debated and/or passed over 1400 bills. So, they are doing something.
Maybe just not what you want them to be doing.
