Financing a business?

I was wondering if you could give me a list of merchant banks that will finance the start-up of a business ($1,000,000-$20,000,000)

If you don't have much equity/capital in it, it's hard to get a bank to provide start-up financing. Go with a venture capitalist or private partner.
