I find air pretty handy. People live without most of these other suggestions all the time. They obviously still find their lives to be of value, because they don't choose to end them. See how long freedom and money and that other stuff will last you without air. Five minutes... tops.

Well, besides food, water and sleep... Kidding. I think the most important thing in life is a mission. As long as you have a goal, something to pass the time, or life a little quicker. Of course there are many material possessions we all need, but nothing to do with them is the killer. You could be on a deserted island looking for a meal, or in the concrete jungle closing a business proposal. Either way you are working towards, or doing something. Activity makes moments in life, no matter what situation one is in.

if you are talking about something not physical, then it would be the fact that i'm not forced to believe in anything like a religion, or a code, or something like that.i couldn't live for example, covered with a veil, like the Islamic women.
if you are talking about a physical thing , then i couldn't live without soap. i'm kinda obsessed. i have to wash my hands very often.lol:D

Love
And experiment was performed in Russia back in the sixties.
10 newborn human babies were separated into two groups.
Half were placed alone separated from each other and not touched or shown love of any kind.
The other group were shown allot of love and were stroked and touched allot.
The group that was not loved showed anti social behavior.
The group that was give allot of love showed excellence in social behavior.
Draw your own conclusion

While all those smartasses say Air, I'm going to say Art. Other people's art makes me feel a deep connection with them that I feel with no one else. In fact, I can live without them, they usually don't live up to their art work.
