i am 16 years old. i am set on getting done. how much did it hurt when u got it done. did u get a ring or a barbell. would u reccomaned. i am a guy but i really want mine done so when i turn 18 i am getting done

when i had mine pierced, i honestly didn't even feel it, though the general area just barely hurt for the next hour or two.
i would recommend getting it done with a barbell, as the chances of it rejecting/being ripped out are less.
also - don't listen to those that tell you to clean it with bactine! not good at all; stick with sea salt soaks (or h2ocean).

If you are a guy you shouldnt get yours done! Unless you are gay then thats fine! But yeah it hurt pretty bad & I got a barbell. I would advise anyone that got their belly button done to get a barbell but its your choice! Just make sure you take some Ibprofen before you go & put some ice or something on it to numb it first! Ok, it didn't really hurt, its more of just a pinch. I would go with a barbell, only because when I first did it, my 2 holes got swollen and the ring was too small. Good Luck.

its so quick I said ouch ! and it was over. I recomend a barbell to start wait 9 months to change it , till its TOTALLY healed or it will get infected. I cleaned mine 6 x a day 2x with antibacterial soap
2x a day with peroxide and 2x a day with salt water. I never had any problems with it it just takes along time to heal.

My sister had it done and yes, it does hurt some.She got a ring because it is easier to keep clean. Keeping it clean is key and you have to use Bactin or something like it. In the meantime,work on your spelling and grammar,that will impress others as well.Good luck.

WELL IT ONLY HURTS WHEN THEY PINCH UR BELLY BOTTOM TO GET THE PEICING BUT THEM IS LIKE IT NEVER HAPPEND AND I THINK A BARBEL WPOLD LOOK BETTER BECAUSE I KNOW THIS DUDE WHO HAS IT AND A BARBEL LOOKS SO HOT ON HIM PLUS HES NOT FAT ..

It all the depends on the person....
for me... I did not feel it whatsoever... I was asking the piercer when she was gonna do it, and she said it was already done!!!
Another friend of mine CRIED... and it hurt more than her tattoo...
it just depends on your skin, how thick it is... and how well you can take pain :)

don't get ur bellybutton peirced if your a guy.. unless your gay, it can be a major turnoff. It's a no no
