Please specify why. I have already seen O, but my hubby hasn't and we are going to be there in May so we are trying to decide on which shows to buy tickets for.

They are both great shows. O probably wins for sheer impressive size, but Le Reve, while smaller, is in a spectacular state-of-the-art theatre. Since you've seen O, I won't elaborate. The Le Reve theatre is entirely round, so there's no bad seats, and you're automatically closer to the action. The theatre is also kind of a character all by itself... you're familiar with the high-tech way the stage 'comes and goes' in O... Le Reve has similar technology... but the theatre can also create thunderstorms, rain, winds, etc.

Again, I would still say O is a better show, since it's on such a grand scale -- so many performers doing synchronized nifty things at the same time-- but Le Reve is certainly worth seeing also, and has its fantastic acrobatics also.

Maybe you should base your decision on whether or not you can get good seats for O... if you can, go for it... hubby's sure to be impressed, but if the selection is less-than-desirable, take him to Le Reve instead. You won't be disappointed.

"O" is my favorite Cirque show, and also my favorite show in Las Vegas. Aside from the great acts and athletics involved, the show has a very dreamy sense and a beautiful flow.

Le Reve is a show I went to with very high expectations. The Dragone shows are generally my favorite shows Cirque has done... and some things about Le Reve are good. And in some ways it seems like it is attempt to take all of the best elements of his earlier works and put them together in a new show with the advantage of extra time to consider and rework. The end result should be fantastic... yet it fell short.

I enjoyed seeing the show, but cannot imagine seeing it a second time (as I've already see "O" five times over the years). Le Reve sets up some amazing sets, yet the acts themself always seem to fall short of having even one athletic element that makes you go WOW, and ultimately this made many of the acts a little forgetable as the days passed after seeing it. And athletic elements aside, some of the acts themeself just didn't feel as well conceived as the acts of "O." And lastly, when the finale comes around, the theater arrangement means that you cannot see half of the stage! Yes, they are doing similar things all around, but this still strikes me as a major mistake (and from what I could see, while similar, it was not identical).

To it's credit, I think the move towards costumes that appeared less like costumes gave a somewhat surreal element to Le Reve. And as I started off, I did enjoy the show... just not enough. I think it is worth checking out, but I even though "O" is a more expensive ticket, I think it is well worth the price difference, and worth seeing again.

I have seen both. Before seeing "O" I saw "Mystere" and found they were not all that different. "La Reve" is different and unlike what you have seen in the past.
