Because the Thrashers do not play well against both the top teams in the league or the worst teams. The flyers are underrated even they are dead last they have become a dangerous spoiler team with nothing to lose and with Biron in net and Gagne, Upshall, Carter and others stepping it out they are actually looking to pull some upsets on teams like Atlanta that look good on paper but in reality are not as good as you think.

First off, I want to say that I sympathize with you, given the Flyers' current season. I've been a Baltimore Orioles fan for about 8 years. Those weren't exactly good years for them. But anyway, I think there were a couple factors in the series: the Flyers now have Forsberg, there were a lot of Thrasher injuries, and Atlanta probably wasn't taking the game seriously and Philadelphia wanted to be a spoiler.

hey I am a flyers fan too. Well, I see that the flyers have been playing a lot rougher lately. People like Hatcher (scored first goal in 125 games last night) are really starting to hit again. You shut down Marian and Ilya. They are also making better pases and are shooting more. They really have been playing better

during all the games they played the flyers scored more goals then the thrashers. therefore they won all the games qualifying it as a sweep.

Every dog has his day; the Flyers had theirs before they come to The Garden, and meet my Rangers. :D

The west is weak and Atlanta has been feasting on weak teams.
