the mineral makeups are the best and they are good for your skin, however, I recommend the supreme mineral makeup (better than bare minerals, etc) - jane iredale (see link below). I use their bases - the pressed powder for everyday and the liquid pump topped with the pressed for special occasions - it looks fabulous.
for your colors - you could go with them - but if MAC isn't bothering you, I really like (and wear) their colors

I work as a beautician at Walgreens, so, naturally, I HAVE to know about makeup. Neutrogena is the absolute BEST stuff you can put on your skin. It's dermatologist recommended and very natural looking. If you want to go for something a little more expensive, but still as good as Neutrogena, try Almay. Almay is also very naturally looking, and good quality. Actually, they don't tell you this, but Almay is made by the same company as Clinique (an expensive department store brand). Those are the two brands I would stick with. Makeup this spring is very simple and sheer, so keep it that way. Don't pile on the powder or cake on the concealer. Dust on a thin layer of powder that matches your skin tone, or bronzer, swipe on some black mascara and some lip gloss and you're done! As SIMPLE as that. If you need clearer skin, Try Neutrogena's Stress Free Acne Wash and Scrub. It keeps pimples at bay, and improves your complexion. Oh, and before I finish, the only three things you need in your daily skin care regime are 1)Scrub with Salicylic Acid 2)Acne Spot Treatment 3)Alcohol-Free Toner. If you want, you can throw in some gentle make-up removing cleanser, but other than that, that's all you need! Good luck!

The new mineral makeups. First pick bare minerals
second sheer cover. You can find them both on the internet, and infomercials. Bare Minerals has stores in SOME malls. Definitaly have a look at the website, it tells you all about the advantages to helping your skin.

Bare Essentials is the best make-up for any skin type. Although it tends to get a little messy, it is worth the price. Do not buy the copy cats...they aren't nearly as good.

i used perscriptives oil control foundation. it worked great for me. its a bit pricey at $35, but it does what it says. it was the only foundation i never had to reapply during hte day, nor touch up until i got home from school. its beautiful coverage (as like MAC) and it definitely is better for your skin, they also have stuff for your pimples as well....
i currently use PHYSICIANS FORMULA and i love it. its better alternative to wearing anything-minerals. its mineral wear wont leave a shiny looks, which is why i love it. especailly if u dont wear liquid foundation. this is a great powder foundation alternative. only problem is it comes in few colors.
