my friend does not want to ask so I'm doing it for her. She is 26, she had a baby 13 months ago, her period was always normal 3 days every 28-30 day a woman dream.
Last month she had a lot of stress because her baby was sick so she skip one month. Now she got her period or seems like it. She knows she has it cause there is a little blood discharge she can see it in the toilet paper, if she puts a sanitarie pad she won't get anything on it, is she wears a tampon she'll get some but not much. She has had that for 15 days, she can't stop using a pad cause she might have an accident, plus she can feel that something is getting down (if you know what I mean). There is no pain or cramps.
Anyways she does not have insurance and doctors are way to $$ expensive... She is trying to get $$ to be able to go but...
Does anyone has any idea what is going on, or has that happen to you before?

She probably miscarried or has an ovarian infection.

As a woman who just had a baby and i also had strange periods all my life. I know that our bodies are forever changing. Dont take for granted your period before..having a baby takes a major toll on your female parts. If may take a few months to get everything back to normal. Check free clinics in your area..much better than health departments...local doctors donate there off time to these clinics for free. Most health departments focus a lot on getting u in and out of there very quickly...but they work too. Free clinics are set up like regular doc offices and u dont have to take a number and feel like your just a number on a piece of paper. Free Clinic treats u like your number one and have the greatest insurance.

If she just had a baby her period could be all messed up. If you have a planned parenthood anywhere near you go there (the charge is usually a lot less if you have little to no insurance) and they can give her an exam. If she is over stressed that could be causing it. Did she just start a birth control? Everytime I start a new birth control mine gets just like that, spotting. Anyway have her go to a planned parenthood or something of the like and they should be able to help.

2 questions.. is she still breast feeding or is she overweight? Breast feeding can casue your uterus to contract and make your hormones go crazy, also, extra weight can slow ur cycle down too because your weight is making your hormones crazy too. This happened to my sister in law.Since she just had a baby a little while ago, her body is still going thru changes.. Also , stress can slow down her cycle.. Having a baby changes everything in your body. It took me almost 2 years for my body to get fully back to normal..Another thing.. and not to be funny.. she could take a preganancy test.. u can have your period and be pregnant.. Im not sure if you know that. If she doesnt feel any better about it, make an appointment to see your GYN... if you cant afford it.. u can apply for temporary medicaid or one of those family insurance plans for low income families.. good luck

Your friend should not worry about this. Her system will get back on track in a few months more than likely. My sister had breast cancer and, because of all the chemo and radiation she did not have a period for 2 years. Then when it did start back it went exactly as it is going for your friend. Her doctor told her not to worry, that it would straighten out in a few months. And it did.

Go to a local health clinic or health department. They are free to those with low income, the other option is DSHS...they will give medical coupons to those who need it and then she can get free or cheap medical treatment. It sounds as if she should go and get a check up. There are many reasons that this could happen and not all of them are bad, but she should go and get checked out as soon as she can. She has a child, and most doctors will work with a payment plan as well.

Is it possible she could be pregnant?
She may have suffered some implantation bleeding perhaps.
Is is possible she could get herself a preg test?
Or it could be just stress. It is so normal, for periods, to become irregular.
When I get stressed, my period takes ages to come, then when it does it never lasts or I bleed like a goon'n! lol.
Sorry its not much help, but its the best I can offer :-(

something is getting down? maybe she has a uterine prolapse. . . .. which is very common in women that have had children or elderly women. I would get that checked out as soon as she can if it doesnt get better, because they can be very painfull and get worse. I know it sucks not having insurance, but its always good to go at least once and rule out some things, maybe theres an inexpensive clinic she can go to, good luck i hope she feels better :)

she should definately go to the health department. the reason she is bleeding could be because of many things. her pregnancy or venereal disease. that is not normal bleeding. she needs to see a doctor. many doctors these days will work out payment plans and stuff like that for people who dont have health care. cervical cancer can also act like that.

She could be pregnant again, and there could be complications, like a miscarriage. Or, her body is just trying to regulate itself again after having a baby. Give it time--especially if there is no pain or cramps! I'd love that!

The only way to be sure is to go to the doctor. Dont let anyone on here give you their advise and scare you.
