i'd get it for her

does she get good grades

if so, she DEFINATLY deserves it =)

it would be a GREAT reward for all her hard work throughout those tough excrusiating 15 years (more or less) of schooling she has endured =)

My brother in law is graduating this year from Brown University and just purchased a BMW - He has found that altough he loves his car, it's a bit of a hassle. Many colleges don't allow Freshman to have vehicles on campus, and many of his semesters were so tough he could only concentrate on his classes and didn't work during that time - It's not only a commitment for her, it's one for you! You might be caught with all the payments, etc... If I were in your position I would offer her a car for graduation from college - During college you really dont need a car!

My dad bought a car for my brother when he went off to college and he said he'd do the same for me. We agree that you do need a car in college for yourself, and a NEW one at that. He buys us cars that are just standard cars with good gas mileage. So, if i wanted a BMW, he'd pay for as much as the standard car costs, and i'd pay the difference. But really, how can you even ask that question!? Don't spoil your kid, unless you can afford it go ahead, but if not, then you shouldn't even have to think twice. If you're a good parent, you'd be teaching your kid that she's not gonna get anything she wants. And if you think she's a good girl and deserves it, think again. No considerate child would ever ask their parents for an expensive car, or an expensive anything for that matter.

I think that anyone that makes it through 13 years of schooling, with good grades, and is now going for at least another 4 deserves a car. I would base it on how she treats the car that she drives now, or anything else she owns how much she truly respects the things you buy her. If she is a hard worker and takes care of the things she has, absolutely she deserves one!

You should not just buy a car for a 17 year old...if she wants a car that nice, even if you have the money, make her help pay for it....then she will learn to respect it. Kids these days are so used to haveing everything just handed to them then they get to the real world and crash.....if you really want to get it, pay for like half of it and make her buy the rest.

I think that is a little too much for a teen of her age. I would get her a used one and say take it or leave it...or get a different car.

Are you kidding? Get her a used car, a Saxo (Citroën) is a great first car.
Let her learn to be responsible with that first and get herself a BMW when she can afford it.

A car is a big responsibilty, my advice would be to get her a starter car and if it is in your budget to upgrade in a few years.

Tell her she can have a BMW when she can make the car payments and the insurance payments, just like everyone else.
