I am just curious how people who are not disabled percieve public transport where it has been modified for disabled travellers. For example what do you think about allocated parking spaces for disabled, talking bus schedules etc.

I think it is great! That way disabled people don't have to feel like they can't go anywhere or do anything. It gives them a chance to be independent if they want to.

I certainly agree with buses being modified for disabled people. For bicycles, I guess. Just as long as they don't start putting rifle racks on them as well.

Parking spaces, no problem.

Talking bus schedules...interesting. Would this be given over the phone or at the station? If at the station, then might be expensive and difficult to maintain for bus system because of the shear number of stops. Subway system would be easier. Do they do this already?

IT IS WONDERFUL FOR THOSE WHO REALLY NEED IT. SOME TOWNS SEEM TO CONSIDER TOO MANY PEOPLE DISABLED...ONES WHO ARE OBVIOUSLY ABLE BODIED.
