I found out today that my ex-wife has been telling some of our friends that I was cheating on her, that is the reason we are getting a divorce. I know that my ex doesn't think that, in fact she is the one who started seeing someone else before she even asked for a divorce. Why is she telling our friends that? Is she trying to make me look like the bad guy or is she feeling guilty because maybe she was cheating on me.

You already know my answer on this and it looks like most people agreed with what I said. She did it to make herself look good and to try and get your friends on her side. Hugs Sweetie

She doesn't want to be the "bad guy". And maybe she has someone on the side, and once you divorce, she'll be with him, and she thinks that people will be like, "Way to go...he did it first, it serves him right." I wouldn't worry about it. I'd just tell my friends it wasn't true, and move on. The more you stress about it, the guiltier you look. If they are real friends, they already know what you're about, and who the liar is. Focus on moving on, not the garbage she's laying out on the lawn.

First of all if you're still married to her (getting a divorce isn't a divorce) She's not your "ex" wife. If you want to know why she is saying these things, you are going to have to ask HER because SHE is the only one who knows why.

You dont know if she cheated on you dont assume it. If she's telling ppl that its so she feels better about herself and is able to justify in her mind the divorce. Oh and naturally so you look like the bad person

you got it. She is upset that she cheated, she is upset that you are divorced and I am sure there is alot of guilt on her part. If you know that it is not true, then don't let that stuff get to you. You know that you are a good man, and there is woman that will know that someday too and will stay faithful. Hang in there, dealing with ex's is never easy!! Good luck to you and I hope you find true happiness someday!!

If your friends really know you then they probably know you wouldn't do something like that. If they believe her then they might not really be your friends. She's doing this to make it look like it's not her fault but what you do is hope she is with your friends and your all together (Maybe a party or cookout) and confront her so your friends can see the type person she really is.

She is trying to form your friends against you so that she'll have more people to feel sorry for her. It's just like elementary school. Tell her to grow up already.

Maybe shes not lying. Maybe she seriously thinks that you cheated on her.

People often come to conclusions on assumptions and maybe thats what shes doing.

Even though you might not want to I think that you should talk to her about it

PEACEFULLY
