I refuse to answer as your question is beneath my dignity.
Just kidding. No we're not all arrogant. I won't even leave the country without trying to learn the language spoken and the do's and don'ts in the country I'm visiting. An arrogant person would expect everyone to speak English and act like Americans. And I'm not the only one..... I'll admit too many of us are arrogant though.

Are you confusing pride with arrogance?
I am an American and very much proud of the fact. I am a member of Dykes on Bikes (lesbian motorcycle gang), and I also enjoy playing softball, especially if there are trophies awarded after the game and a keg of beer to tap. How much more down to earth can you get?

It seems a bit foolish to attribute any characteristic to an entire group of people. There are certainly arrogant Americans, but there are just as certainly arrogant people of all nationalities; likewise, there are good, ordinary people who are Americans; we are no more or less homogeneous than any other nation.

All the Americans I have met have been generous, easy-going and very friendly. Every time I have visited the US I've had a wonderful time. I am sorry you have met the wrong kind of Americans.

You are entitled to your opinion.
How many Americans have you met? I mean "all" is an incredible number of people. There exist in just about every nation those people who get used as the "Gold Standard" by other people, they are usually wrong.

Most Americans think too highly of themselves and are constantly over indulging their lives with empty entertaiment. We practically have no purpose in our lives and since we are a superpower we feel superior and always want to bud into other's bussiness. Our trying to make Iraq a democratic country is an example.
