Excellent. I have 2 brothers, 4 friends and 1 uncle and they all feel they are slowly winning. Semper Fi!

By best friend's husband is over there for his second tour.
Morale is not great, because there is no clear objective, so no clear measure of what they are trying to accomplish or how long until it is accommplished. But they are hanging in.
And no, we are not "winning". We cannot "win" any more than we can "lose". We're the only one drawing the finish line for our participation. So, we can declare victory at any point. The concept of winning is meaningless, since we're the only ones unilaterally defining what would qualify as a win.

Two Cousins, and 4 friends.
Morale is iffy - they aren't sure what it is exactly they are doing but they are serving their country which to them is highest honor they can have.
