When the religion is against it? I'm not a bible basher or gay I just don't understand how a gay person can involve themselves with religion. It's like a black man joining the KKK isn't it?

One of the psalms has the line "she 'ad t*ts like towers"
Somewhere in Mark's gospel it says "Jesus COULDN'T [not wouldn't] perform many miracles there..."
In another gospel Jesus calls non-Jews "dogs"
In parts of the old testament people are recorded as "living to be 900 years old"

Sorry Randy but I'm afraid you're wrong on this count. First let me point out I spent 2 years in seminary and I can read Hebrew and Aramaic. These facts are important so you understand my answer. First off, the original Bible, the Hebrew and Aramaic texts do mention homosexuality as being wrong, but here's the thing, it does so only once in the entire book. The passage is Leviticus. Now others will tell you that Corinthians and Romans talks about it as well but the truth is, in those original writings, the condemnation was not against gays but prostitutes. As for Leviticus, it's not the word of God nor is it attributable to Him, it's the civil laws as written by the Pharisees of Jerusalem, the Levitical laws are man made not divine. Finally, Christ proposed the concept of love, peace, tolerance and forgiveness, nowhere, not once did He ever even mention let alone condemn homosexuality. Now, you ask how a gay person can be Christian. Knowing what I have now told you, what contradiction is there.
Note: to the Christians out there who would say God hates gays because of the KJV. I point out that that Bible is neither legitimate nor accurate and thus cannot be taken as....pardon the expression.....Gospel.

It's hard to answer this question in great detail with Bible bashing and supporting it.
Look at it like this, there are people who look at porn and call themselves christian, there are people who kill and call themselves christian.
If it is truly all sin what makes the gay guy at church any different than the lier at church both are sins right. If someone can comfortbly lie to everyone all the time and still say yes I am a christian why can't someone be gay and say they are a christian. People live in constant contradictions, we just have to make sure we don't judge them.

Out of the entire Bible, the anti-homosexuality business is only mentioned in a couple of places, and not at all in Christ's teachings (Paul was adlibbing and misconstrued what Moses intended). There are plenty of good things in there to believe in, and if you ignore Paul's rant, there's no conflict. The KKK on the other hand is dedicated to the suppression of minorities and the glorification of the White race and has no other message or purpose.

The bible rearing its ugly head again. why do people put the bible and scriptures on this forum about gays. stuff god he dont exist. When god made man she made a mistake, when she made woman she achieved perfection thats why I changed my sex. f**k god he never existed and never will. The bible is the best ever fiction book ever. I have read it several times and cant find one grain of truth in it. Mind you I have read the dictionary as well but couldnt get the story line lol.

Well it is easy for me, because I believe in the Bible. I read it and I believe I understand what it says. I believe that the modern religions today interpret it to mean what they want, instead of reading it, and use it to condemn people, NONE of which is Christian principles.
I grew up Catholic. I left the Church when I started studying more of their teachings, and spent MANY hours studying the Bible on my own! And it was definitely an enlightening experience!

I consider myself Christian, just not as defined by the Catholic Church.
All organized religion has a mandate by which they live; and it's all based on how that group chooses to interpret the Bible!! There are many Christian religions out there which accept and are inclusive of gay people like any other Human Being. Performing marriages and baptisms for gay couples all the time. The United Church is one of those kinds of places.
Why should I loose my entire faith because of one bigoted Nazi in Rome, who I might add goes around in an evening gown all day! The Catholic church is fighting a loosing battle. There are liberal movements even within the Vatican, it's just a matter of waiting for our current Nazi pope to kick the bucket.

IN answer to Clint N what better place for a homosexual paedophile than being a priest/ teacher in a Roman Catholic school for boys. Your friends and family think you are great for becoming a priest. Everyone trusts you and if you do get caught the church just move you somewhere else

JESUS LOVES YOU. You can only be a Christian when you accept Jesus into your heart and ask Him to take away all your sins. Unfortunatally for Gays, homosexuality is an abomination to God and is a great sin.
If you acknowledge that it is a sin and ask God to forgive you and ask Jesus to take away your sins - then He will and you will become a Christian, but then you must follow the Bible.
You must turn your back on your old ways and follow Jesus because Jesus Loves You.
JESUS LOVES YOU. Repent of your sins and you will go to Heaven.
