Vanya on 42nd Street. It's a very minimalist production, the only props used are some chairs, a table and a sofa...and yet they draw the viewer in so you can actually see the rambling old country house and the village. The translation of Chekov is wonderful and the performances masterly. I watch it again and again and can quote entire passages from memory.

The Hurricane. Denzel is my favorite actor. Great movie. Should have won the Oscar (best actor). Also, pretty accurate to the real story of Ruben Carter.

I like this movie because when its over the person who got screwed and everyhing taken away from had seek revenge and in the end he got everything he wanted, including the girl. What chick doesn't liek that.
