I had the same problem untill I started using eyeshadow brushes after applying the eyeliner, those things that look sort of like q-tips but aren't.

I know exactly what you're talking about! and I've tried every brand of make-up out there, from the super expensive, to the least expensive out there. and I found that the best eyeliner to use to get the effect you're wanting is Rimmel Soft Kohl eye pencil. I promise this one works! but be careful when you buy it because they have two different formulas of eyeliner, and one of them is real hard, and it won't smudge at all. so be sure to get the one that says Soft Kohl. I get a color called Jet Black and it works great. and it's like two dollars, and you can get it at wal-mart, target, k-mart, walgreens, etc.
Best Wishes, and I know you'll love the liner!

Try using a softer eyeliner, or a thicker one. There are those eyeliners out there which are so hard you could write with them on paper, and there are others which are as soft as melted butter. Its more-or-less trial and error to find out which one is perfect for you!

Try Revlon Colorstay. That works the best for me. It works really good, and stays on all day. It never smudges into the corners either.

I would use a cotton ball. It works. I use it too. You can put some in yur purse when you need them. If not then just use some pre-makeup before you apply yur makeup. Or u can simply just buy this spray.
