There's absolutely nothing earth shattering. It's all about positive thinking and envisioning success. The key to it is to attract good things to yourself by being positive and being the sort of person who attracts good things.
In other words, it says to be confident, to smile, to live your life as if good things are coming. For example, if you want to get out of debt, just DO IT, and don't just worry about it. Live your life in a positive way that would not allow you to remain in debt.
Get it? It really is sort of a scam, the way they're marketing it.

yeah while watching oprah i got caught up in the whole "secret" thing-got the dvd which i found out i could watch it on that streaming site...which i should have done instead-anyhow it was alright nothing that a next person can't straight out and tell yhou-i mean if you like motivators and people speaking over and over it's for you-but ifyour skeptical and or not a go getter with the info you hear then you shouldn't really bother...i found it alright somewhat repetative but it was good for me since i procrastinate a lot-so i need to play it a few times...

This book is an insult to the christian community. This positive perspective as been fortold in the good book, the Bible for centuries. They speak of a higher being , but doesn't want to bring clarity to who that is. The broadness of saying, the God of your own understanding. No recognition of the great man Jesus that walked this earth thousands of years ago. I have read and heard enough to know I will continue to follow the one from whom all blessings flow. Jesus

My friend Pip told me about experiences leading up to her lotto win.
“It was weird because I had been doing affirmations saying ‘I am loved’, ‘I am wealthy... and ‘I have met a lovely man’ and won lotto!!!!” I have the The Secret DVD and anyway I watched that and started the "I am loved I am wealthy" affirmations. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/psychic-wins-lottery.html
As a teacher of The Secret for many years, as well as being a profession psychic, I now recommend The Secret DVD to everyone. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/does-the-secret-really-work.html
And here's a review and 22 lessons learned from The Secret http://www.astralcafe.com/does-the-secret-really-work.htm

I think it is great. I think we all know this but it's drummed out of us by a judgmental negative society. When science and religion can agree it is always a good thing. This is a good thing. How can it be a scam if you can do it for free?

I haven't read it but I know what it is -- yet another inspirational, mind-over-matter, self-help pop psycology book.
