And why did I spend good money and two years going to grad school if it's so easy to get a degree now? What changed?

what changed is the quality of the degree. the less-than-a-year offers are usually for online degrees from less-than-reputable sources. you could take the offer justto say you have a master's degree, but it wont help you much past that. you probably wont learn much in less than a year (unless you spend hours a day online working on it), and it wont turn employer's heads either.

Sure, you can get a Master's degree in less than a year...but it will be granted by one of those fake 'universities'....such as the "University" of Phoenix. The degree won't be worth much, if anything, on a resume. Just ask any HR person in any company.
