Newton's 3rd Law of Motion states that "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."
To show this, you can make a rocket using a 2 liter bottle, some baking soda and some vinegar. (This is an easy one to look up online)

Or you can make another rocket to show that alchol evaporates but is still flammable by gettign another 2 liter bottle, poke a hole in the lid and put in 4 or 5 drops of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). Put your thumb over the hole, shake it up really well and then set it downa and quickly place lit match near the hole. The bottle will shoot off!

Or a really easy one is just to indicate that glaciers float because water traps air while freezing to ice. Your exhibit is merely a big block of ice floating in a big tub of water.

You know, what everybody did answering your question is wrong, those are the only things good the school has, if I give you a project you are not going to use your brain and that is what the school science project it is for, teaching you to use your brain,to use your imagination to help you in the future.
At the school they don't teach you how to think!!! they teach you that you have to do everything as possible to pass the exam but those project are the only ones to use your brain.

You can use bean seedlings, which grow quite quickly, to show how light affects plants. Grow one normally; one with no light; one in a box with the light just coming from a hole in the side.
