OK, so the jails and prisions are getting so full, don't you think the system should be revamped? I'm tired of these degenerates getting (3 hots and a cot) everything provided for them when they BROKE THE LAW in one form or another. They got there by the choices they made in life. There comes a certain point in life that you have to start being responsible for yourself and stop using your upbringing or past as an excuse.

I agree that "criminals "get an easy life..Instead of bringing back conscription..they should send these "criminals" to the war zone, for a stint to see if they can mend their ways..or for minor "criminals" send them to a boot camp..If they play up there send them to the war zone..We would have less "criminals" as they would be too scared of what might happen to them..Or they could work on repairing the road system .like a chain gang ..I think I'll become Prime Minister...mmmm

No offense, but I don't want these degenerates fighting along side my family members who are in Iraq either!
The only men and women I want standing next to my family are other dedicated and trained soldiers.

Personally, I think we need to bring back the chain gang and put these degenerates to work on the roads, the seweres, or whatever job they can do when 20 or 30 of them are linked together. Have them make big rocks into little rocks (I could use some new ones for my landscaping) but put them to some hard physical labor every day - 8 hours a day just like the rest of the world.

I worked with CIDGs in Vietnam, Civilian Irregulars who were the dregs of the Army. The idea in deploying them was always to dump them off at some outpost where fighting wouldn't be an option. You didn't patrol outward you helicoptered them out and walked back to the sfety of the basecamp.

I see no reason some prisoners couldn't earn thier freedom.

we can always redefine the law and allow killing and rape ,that way millions shall no longer be defined as criminals.we do it all the time with different countries and people abroad,e.g osama is no longer our enemy but ally in fight against iran. As for criminals being in armed forces well its better than more morally upright people being sent there to die dont you think?
