A report today on CNN mentioned that there acyually some people who think that homosexuality can be reversed in the womb. The idea is that they can test an unborn baby to see if he/she will grow up gay/lesbian. Then they can take steps to prevent this while the baby is still in the womb. I think this idea was concocted by some fundamentalist Christian group, but I am not sure. Is this nuts or what!?

Who could possibly believe this?

What do you think of this complete and utter silliness?

"What do you think of this complete and utter silliness? "

Of course it is complete and utter silliness.

Every intelligent person knows that Homosexuality is an after birth choice and not a biological condition. Geez.

And God "made" you. He didn't make you Gay.
God put you on this Earth to let you live as you desire. God lets you make the choice of living a good life or a bad one. Straight or Gay.

wouldnt it be nice if life was that simple, but, thats not the way
that things work. im sure that alot of wrong mishaps has gone
on, while we were in our mothers womb? but once you were
borned that was the end of going back into reversal, no retun,
no doing it over again, no nothing that had anything to do with
delivery. so, now we are faced with, and forced to live life with
the hand that we are dealt with. lousy isnt it? we must learn to
accept and use, whatever sources of life, that we have at our
use for learning and survibor, its upto us, how far we want to
go. i dont know about you, but i intend to go as far as GOD an
d life will take me. i dont intend to sit on a bed full of pity, or se
lf denial, becaues i know who i am, and what i am. and im not
giving up on me. im sorry that it took me until age 53, to find o
ut that i am a female or woman transsexual, but now that i kno
w for sure, i going to make the best of the days that i have left.

That is nuts and it would never work. I am gay myself and I don't know whether I knew when I was a baby or not. I was not thinking about sex, since I had alot of other stuff to worry about like when I would be fed, changed, hugged, burped, and picked up.No one can even say with any certainty that we hear or sense anything from the outside world in our womb. Who could you ask? This is simply another case of Christian agenda gone amuck. What would they use to justify their hate if they didn't have The Book of Folklore(the bible) to back them up? The world is getting weirder by the minute but if any person wants to waste there money on this ridiculous idea, than I suppose they are entitled.

How in the world can anyone know that a fetus will grow up to be gay or straight? So how could you know if you made any difference? Since only 10% are going to turn out to be gay anyway, and half of them will be bludgeoned into denying that they're gay, you can claim a 95% success rate no matter what you do! I smell snake oil.

anything that would spare millions of people from lives as outcasts and hell after death would be an improvement on the human condition. I'm all for it if its true. Its no weider than that deaf lesbian in Colorado that was suing a doctor so that he would keep her child deaf because " deafness and lesbianism are cultures and any attempt to prevent her child from being deaf was akin to genocide."

I love how they play god, so hypocritical. Yes the root of the causes are from development and hormonal influence in the womb but using this knowledge to find a cure, I highly doubt it. I highly doubt that there will be a way to reverse the cause.. at least for a long time anyways and by that time homosexuality will be so widely accepted that geneticists will spend their time on more important things than changing the orientation of a perfectly healthy baby. Besides it would cost a LOT of money for a family to test an unborn child and in fact "fix" it.

Who knows...I don't think God creates Homosexuals or Heterosexuals he creates Men and Women and the divide is with Christian belief is it is not a sin to be a homosexual, it's only if you engage in the sexual acts that in the Bible makes it a sexual sin as other sexual conduct is as well.

The Bible States the only union God Blesses is the one which he created to procreate the world Man and Woman
and Men and Women have a duty to not engage in sexual sin yet many do...I know this is hard concept for most folks.

What a load of crap.

It amazes me how one day the Pious Christian groups can be against stem cell research, yet they have no problem reversing homosexuality in the womb.

What a bunch of God Damn hypocrites. Why can't we all just leave mother nature alone and just accept ourselves as we are? No one can play God but GOD!

God created us all the way we are; he makes NO mistakes!!! Go to the link below ... you'll find it interesting.

To all you neigh sayers; I'm Gay, I believe in God and I believe he made us all as we are .. even you but suckers out there. I hate how you all misquote and twist various texts to suit your purposes. It's largely known anyway that most modern day translations of the bible are highly inaccurate. Ancient scripts have proved that time and time again when studied by archeologists and theologists. You should really educate yourselves first and know of what you preach. Most of you don't know any of the history ... just what you're told!

If homosexuality is genetic it cannot be sinful, as God created homosexuals that way. Therefore to interfere with "God's plan" in making that person heterosexual would be a terrible sin. It's just some crazy jumped up pastor who thinks that fascist eugenics is a brilliant idea, he's annoyed just about everyone by saying it.
