I have a 98 chevy K1500 silverado. If I have the warning flashers on when the braked are applied the warning flashers go off. Nothing else, just the warning flashers. Any Ideas on what the problem might be?

This might be how it was designed to work. Almost always, the brake light filament does double duty as the flasher light and as the blinker light. Stepping on the brake pedal should over-ride the flasher circuit and make the rear brake lights come on steady as they would normally work.

The front flashers (blinker lights) could stay on while the brakes were applied, but the circuit may not account for that situation. I would guess the circuit just lets the brake lights override all of the flashers, front and rear.

Kiddo.. no warning flashers work when you are applying brakes.. the flashers are there to warn those behind you that you are A... broke down.. or B.. moving slow.. if your brakes are applied they should know your moving slow.. or at a stop..

There's no problem. They're the same bulbs, so if it didn't work that way you wouldn't have any brake lights when the flashers were on.
