Guilds are clubs. You can't make any money off them, unless they are doing contests (which they aren't aloud to do anymore.)

Guilds in neopets is a group of people who share interests on neopets. It's kind of like a social club, so you can chat on the forums and share information with each other. You can join a guild either by being invited, or looking for an open one that might accept you. You can find the guilds on the yellow bar at the top when you are looking at your items, its the third icon over from the left.

i love neopets i dont even have one yet cuz i'm waiting for lutari day. well i dont know much about guild because the stupid site wont let me in because im under 13 and i dont have "parental permission"

it doesn't give you any neopoints. all you do is go to the shopping center and click guilds at the top. its basically a fan club of your choice.
