Our place tends to be a bit of a motel for some of our single friends. (mostly male!!!) so there are nearly allways some sort of extra housework to do , bed linen to change, extra towels to wash, guest bathroom to clean etc.etc. So I think about 4-5 hours a day. But at least 1 -1 1/2 hours would be ironing as I probably iron more than most people (sheets, pillow cases, table cloths etc.) I just can't put anything away unironed. Our floors are a mixture of polished timber and tiles so they have to be damp mopped each day to keep clean. What with dusting, furniture to polish, dish washing (no dishwasher) , windows to clean porch and outdoor furniture to keep clean I keep pretty busy. Oh! did I mention baking, gardening, weeding, washing, cooking.

I do not spend enough time a day cleaning but I spend a lot of time cleaning! I have a hubby and 2 kids; 4 and 6 that wouldn't pick up there feet if they did not want to walk somewhere! So cleaning up after them is a constant chore....I also have dogs in the house so cleaning up after them too all of the stuff that they scatter around....Its just an endless job it seems!
I miss my small apartment...It was so much easier to clean up and took far less time!!

I have a husband, and 3 kids, 17 month old twins, and a 5 month old. I feel like I never stop cleaning. I know I clean for at least an hour a day straight, but I pick up CONSTANTLY, or you wouldnt be able to walk through my house with all the toys.

on a daily basis usually about an hour or so, but on my days off when I do a really good clean I spend about 4-5 hours. I am married with one 12 year old daughter and a dog. I do have a 5 bedroom house, so it can take a while sometimes.

During the week I do very little, just keep the rooms tidy and beds made and loading the diswasher.
It takes me 2 hours on a Saturday morning to clean the house top to bottom, and another half an hour ironing on Sunday.
I`m lucky to live in a 2 bed bungalow, I only have 5 rooms to clean!!!!

I have a hb, who is at work like always. i do have 3 kids:13, 10 and 3 years old. And I am working around 30 hours per week. I do try my best to keep house clean but, honestly, I spend around an hour for washing up (every day), 1 hour for ironing (every another day), hoovering like 40 min every another day and general "cosmetic tidy up" before my hb come to home for about 30 min every day.So.. it will be around 2 hours every day... And 1 hour for homework with my kids every day. it is housework is well.

Not enough and none of I can get away with it. BUT when hubby doesn't do it for me usually no more than an hour all total.
Unless it's deep-cleaning time each room generally gets a good going over once a week. Other than that I just keep things put away, laundry caught up, vacuumed and dishes washed.

I have 2 kids and I use to clean up all day after them, but now we just do it when they go to bed and thats a quick 10-15mins. Then on our day off we may do 1 hours worth of cleaning but whats the point really coz when they get up its back to normal and a mess.
