Hi there, i am a mum of 2 but i don't remember ever losing my mucus plug. I have just been to the toilet and i had a slimy discharge, which had streaks of blood in it, is this my mucus plug. Also i have been getting cramps in my lower front of my tummy.
From what i can remember from my last labour, my pains were in my back. Am i going into labour lol i have no idea help please xx

i am 40 weeks and 3 days. Also feels like the baby is trying to dig her way out, been getting pains in my groin all day, and feel like i need to pooh as well. (sorry)

hey, lol i to am 40w3d, and i think i lost my mucus plug too, but last night, like it was gross, but i started getting the pains in the same spot, only now im lightly shaking, this is my first child, and i have no idea what is going on!!! but i thought i would let you know, your not alone!

I am also a mom of 2 with #3 on the way. I am 33 weeks and had the same slimy discharge. I believe it is my mucous plug. Sometimes this means labor is right around the corner. But not always. It could be hours to weeks before delivery.One thing we do know about loosing it though is that labor is definatly coming. Be patient and you'll be holding your little bundle of joy soon. If your really worried call your dr. and I'm sure they will give you all the reassurance you need that everything is going to be o.k.
Also I didn't notice loosing mine with my first 2 children. I guess I lost it gradually. Every time is diffrent. But it sure sounds pretty positive to me that you spotted yours this time!

I was induced with my son and I found my mucus plug in my pants after he had been born. I was in such a panic getting them off for the midwife that I didn't notice it (everything happened very fast!). It was a really massive lump of discharge with blood streaks in it - kind of reminded me of a jellyfish!! Gross I know! They say you normally get a 'show' about 4 hours before the labour starts, so just keep an eye on things for now.

Every pregnancy is different so pains in the front maybe what you get this time around. With my last pregnancy I didnt have any pains in my back. It was all in my front lower tummy and I had that feeling all day long and ended up having my baby at 1 that morning. But I dont remebmer losing my mucus plug with that pregnancy.

I think that could be it! I only lost my mucus plug with my first child and he was born about 1 1/2 days later. Maybe you'll progress some more tonight.

My mucus plug came out 3 days before I went into labor. I would wait until your water breaks or the contractions get really bad before you go to the hospital. You can call your Doc, but they will tell you to stay home until these things happen.

Sounds like it to me!!!
I lost mine with only one of my children (#2) and it was just that. It was thick, slimey and blood streaked. As labour progressed the streaking got darker and darker. That's normal. To have labour pains in your stomach you're blessed :)
Sounds like you should start timing your contractions, labour happens a lot faster with subsequent babies. GOOD LUCK Birthing!!!!
EDITED TO ADD:
Losing your plug also doesn't necessarily mean labour is starting just that you are starting to dilate :) although it seems to me like it might be starting for you.

i lost my plug about a month ago but nothing happen doc.say because i was diliting but no show of any thing else happen but when asked about it to other mothers who had lost theirs before said that they went into labor within 24 hr of losing theirs so look out, also it depends on how far along you are.

Sounds like it, I never lost mine with my 1st pg, but with my second I did.
To be graffic, it looked like greeny snot, with red streeks and very slimy - oh and lots of it.
