Thanks :)

right click on the drive you want to share (ex C drive on one comp) then properties and sharing and allow sharing. Now go to my network places, view work group computers, choose the computer and choose the drives which you have enabled for sharing.

OK Ready - From the computer you have the printer hooked up to. Got to Start Printers and Faxes - Right click on the printer and choose properties. Go to the sharing tab and click Share this Printer (I'm only assuming you havent done this already), Click OK. Now to share files - Pick a folder on your main machine to share - I recommend not sharing the whole C drive - but thats your choice. So lets say your My Documents Folder - Righ Click on it - Properties and go the the Sharing Tab. Choose Share this Folder. I'm not in front of a non domain windows computer - but on that screen there may be a link that says Enable windows file sharing blah blah blah...Make sure you enable that.

OK - Now on the non main computer do the same on a folder you want to share - SHare a folder the same way you did above.

Next to Print from the non main computer. First go to the main computer click start run type in cmd click OK. Type in IPconfig and hit enter. Remember the IP address. Then go to the non main computer click start run type in \\theipaddress - example \\192.168.1.2 - then click OK. A screen should pop up showing you the folder you shared and the printer you shared as well. Double click on the printer to install it. Browse the folder you shared. From now on as long as your main computer is on - You can print on the non main.

On the non-main do the ipconfig procedure then go the main and do the \\192.168.1.2 (example IP) click OK - To view the folder you shared o this machine.

If you have any issue - Try disabling the Windows Firewall.

Good Luck!

You would just set up a regular network. Make sure you have both computers in the same workgroup. Also make sure you have enabled printer and file sharing.

go to your wizard and always pick the bottom option under connection method pick other, on the other connections pick the last one then give your laptop and pc its name and then make sure your pc and laptop have the same workgroup name like (pctolaptop) do it at the same time this on both your pc and your laptop this way you reset at the same time punch in the same info at the same time it makes it easier. and thats that good luck

give the computers the same domain name such as "home" and switch on file and printer sharing then share the folders you want to share

you can set this up on one machine then make a floppy to transfer the info to other machines but it is just as easy to do it manualy
