I think it's the outrage in response to this question is totally ridiculous. People in this country are so prudish and confused. Nudity doesn't necessarily equate with sexuality, it's just so in the dominant culture of this country. In traditional Japanese culture, families bathe together in large pools all the time. I grew up in a very liberal household, ex hippies turned artists and academians. My family members would walk around nude much of the time. We lived in the country, and my parents would have get-togethers on summer evenings and people would often get naked to swim in the stream, sunbathe, or just to cool off. I never thought it was a weird and it certainly never screwed me up in any way. In fact, I think it had a lot to do with me growing up to be very comfortable with my body. But yes, it does happen. However, if you have older kids, it's probably too late to spring it on them. I think you have to grow up with it to be comfortable with it. There are nudist resorts out there. You should look them up and pay them a visit.

It would be very rare and probably unheard of in most areas... probably where you're from. You should seriously start considering and researching nudist colonies, you may really enjoy living in one. Most people aren't open minded enough, and you would probably be looked down on or worse where you're from especially if your entire family (children included) does it. Nudist colonies do exist, and there could be one close to where you're living.
Problems? Mostly just the cold, lol.
I've always wondered what it would be like if you're a male when you're a preteen/teen in a nudist colony. I for one, had so many random boners when I was that age I couldn't possibly imagine everyone being able to see.

I don't know anyone who lives in a family (husband, wife, kids) where everyone goes naked all the time. People can get used to anything, I suppose, but I think nakedness is best shared with your partner, and going naked in front of kids is just too much for them.

ummm...sorry, but in today's society filled with perverts and repressed desires, etc., modesty is a must. i am comfortable being nude in front of my husband, but my daughter would not want to see my husband naked or see me naked for that matter, and she would not be comfortable walking around naked in front of us either. there is a lot to be said for modesty and privacy and a long-forgotten attribute possible from the human race, called COUTH!!! we're not animals. we're human beings and we should treat ourselves accordingly. we don't go to work nude, we don't go out to clubs or restaurants or business meetings nude. we are human. that's not being prudish, that's just being private. that's being respectful to myself as well as those around me. you can do what you want in your own home, and if you're all okay with it, then great, so be it, but do it with the shades drawn so that my daughter and granddaughter and i don't have to look at you nude.

weird, I was gonna say if you're in the comfort of your own home that's fine, but with your whole family. Not here thank you. Maybe on a beach in France or home alone.

I think the hippies tried to do that, but there are always some problems with it.
You can get your own place and some of those black out drapes and nobody would care.

I don't know about families as such...but heck why not..Just don't answer the door that way...you may startle your neighbors or a sales person. No special problems unless you answer that door, like I said...advantages=freedom..benefits=freedom ..Have fun...

I don't think it's common, and i don't think there's a problem with it... Either way I just wouldn't do it. but hey as long as you're doing it at home no one should see anything as being wrong with it.

Personally I wouldn't want to see the rest of my family naked. I'm comfortable being naked when I'm by myself but I wouldn't be around my family. Gross.
