Communism is an economic model that says all property is owned by the government (the community). It can exist in any form of government, from a democracy to a tyranny or monarchy.
Socialism is an economic model that says all resources production and manufacturing are owned by the government, but that individuals can own and sell the end products. Socialism requires some form of government authority, and is most commonly found in republics with a central federal govt.
Fascism is a government model, and has nothing to do with economics. Fascism seeks to impose a strict authoritarian conservative hierarchical government, and opposes all personal liberties or attempts at voter participation (democracy).
One of the most famous fascist countries in history were the Soviet union, which claimed to follow a communist model but in reality (and in its name Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) was actually socialist in practice.
The other famous historical fascist regime was Nazi Germany, which was originally capitalist and eventually mostly socialist and in its economic model.

Not much.
Under Socialism you get to vote for the tyrant that rules your life
Under Communism, the tyrant is appointed by his cohorts.
With Fascism the economic system allows you more freedom in choice of personal endeavors, but all your assets and the assets of your business are used to further the objectives of the government, not what you want.

That's because they want to obfuscate the fact that they're all quite similar. They make bogus ' stage ' designations but there isn't any real stage. It's a war economy and welfare state that ensconces, defends, and preserves a coterie of party players indefinitely. It is also very much a survival of the fittest thing. The fittest tell the less fit what to do. Irrespective of rank!
In short - Piracy with a semblance of a political platform.

the focus of fascism is the protection of the people by placing all power in the hands of the government,
socialism and communism deal more with redistribution of wealth.. communism is more of an extremist conservative view and socialism is more of an extremist liberal view
they all fail in their extreme forms because they are too easily corrupted
