When is the right time to have a child? I think it all depends on the couple. You will know when the time is right... it is something that should be talked about between the 2 of you.. this is big step... you want to bring another life into the world. Have you tried a pet first?? How did that go??

It's a personal decission.. there is not time line on when you should and shouldn't do something in a relationship..

i will tell you the truth. my husband and i entered our relationship together with having a two year old. mine from a previous relationship. we got married and got pregnant 8 months after the wedding. we had the baby a year and4 months after marriage. we never really had time for just us but now we have even less time. the early months are tough on a newly married couple and many couples fight over numerous aspects of taking care of the baby,ie;whos gonna get up for the tenth feeding in the middle of the night, whos gonna change the next diaper, ect. however if your relationship is a strong one and you are truly in love and are ready for your addition to the family then go for it. my husband and i tried for 8 months and are so happy . we have had our moments when i was so tired i was a cranky head but we are all ready talking about our third baby. good luck and congratulations.

Well, I got married October 7, 2006. I got pregnant October 26, 2006. So, I've been married for 5 months and married for the same amount of time so it is perfectly ok.

I think the time is right when you are both in a position to give eachother and the baby all the love you have. The time frame doesn't matter. As long as you two aren't fighting, don't have major plans, etc...go for it!

I think that it is okay to have a baby after two years of marriage but here are some things that you should know before you do:
Make sure you can afford to take care of one and I am not trying to be funny but you know dipers cost a lot.

Make sure both of you are down it.

You have a baby when you and your S.O. are ready. There's no such thing as marrige by text book. It's trial and error. No matter what anyone else thinks, it's only up to YOU to decide what's best.

I've been married 3 years but have been with my husband for 8 years before we got married and we are only now having our first child. But I would say to each his own, if you and your wife feel ready then go for it!

I think 2 years is good. Gives you time to enjoy the married life. Besides if you want to have the baby sooner then you can and if you want to wait more then two years then that's your choice.
