His parents and him should undergo extensive counseling. A child whose reaction to arguments is violence is not only a danger to themselves but seriously to others. I think the child should be closely monitored, without medication, and if he further presents symptoms he should be dealt with accordingly. I also feel he should spend time in a juvenile detention center, if he is not punished for his actions he will not learn they are wrong.

He has apparently been "spoken" to.
I used to get more than "spoken" to if I didnt come home on time! How the hell is he supposed to learn what he hs done is wrong. If he is big enough to stab someone, he s big enough to be punished. He needs serious attention, the boy must have issues - where has he learnt to pick up a knife in defence???? Its disguting.

This is what the police said on the BBC website

"A child was spoken to but not arrested.

"The investigation is ongoing, and we will be working with other appropriate agencies."

it's a difficult one, but it's not fair to punish the parents, unless of course they have been violent to him or abusing him in anyway and that is why he has done what he did, then thats a different story, i don't really know like i say its a toughie♥
