my ancestors mainly came from Germany so i speak German as a second language && im extremely proud of it.
most people have their head so far up their butt they dont think its important.

My ancestors were German on my father's side and Scottish on my mother's side. Which of these cultures would you have me adopt? My family has not spoken German since the early 1800's when they came to the United States over 4 generations ago.
Since my family members are U.S. citizens I consider this as my home...not Germany.

When they came, they came to be Americans--like the Scots Irish who were basically forced out of their homeland. They considered themselves to be Americans, not hyphenates temporarily located here.

many white americans were born in the US.
All they've ever known is American Pride. The US is infamous (and I mean infamous) for burning the whole "america is your one and only homeland" into the minds of it's citizens.

it's quite sad actually that a lot of people lose touch with their backround.

All one big melting pot eh?

Because they have grown so use to the everyday english that they gradually forgot their heritage and culture ........but there is some americans who havent!
